Making The Most Out Of Your Jewish Vacation

Aug 10, 2019 | Blog

Joining your first river cruise can be both a daunting yet exhilarating experience at the same time. There are so many places you’ll be visiting in the span of several days, after all! In one day, for instance, you might be spending your entire time in a major city with a lively Jewish community that has lived there for hundreds of years. And on the next day, you could be going to several small towns with old synagogues and castles that overlook the countryside.

So how do you make sure that you’ll be able to enjoy your kosher holiday cruise to the fullest?

Join In on Activities You Want to Do

Wine-tasting, cooking lessons, historical site tours, Jewish community visits, jungle trekking and piranha fishing (if you’re in the Amazon, that is!) — these are just a few of the activities that you can take part in on our river cruises! Go ahead and take your pick of what you want to do for the day! Would you like to do a bit of exploration on your own, or would like to come with us as we have a guided, in-depth tour of important sites in town? What matters most is that you’ll get plenty of enjoyment from what you’ve decided to do.

Of course, don’t forget to come back to the riverboat when it’s time to leave!

Try the Local (Kosher) Dishes

The selection of Glatt Kosher meals aboard the riverboat is nothing to scoff at (you might actually end up scarfing it down with how delicious they are), and the chefs provide their own kosher twist to the region’s cuisine.

But when you’re in town, why not explore your choices there as well? You might want to take a gander at the local kosher restaurants and see what delicious local dishes they can whip up for you. It’s another way for you to immerse yourself in the culture, and it’s also a good opportunity for you to meet fellow Jews who live in the town.

Make a Friend or Two (or Three or More!)

Participating in excursions or even just having a hearty meal is always more enjoyable when you’ve have friends onboard, wouldn’t you agree? Sharing stories with each other not only builds connections, but it can even broaden your perspective on life and deepen your faith. And who knows — you might even have a regular travel buddy for your future adventures.

So, want to have a Jewish vacation that you won’t forget? Then join Kosher River Cruises as we embark on a grand all-kosher journey along the world’s most beautiful waterways!

Another successful experience

Our experience was unique in that we were able to tour a lot of territory and a variety of places with minimal inconvenience. The fact that our boat was always with us and there were no long bus rides or waits made this mode of travel extremely enjoyable.
