A simple recipe for tea time or for a nice day trip. On our next set of recipes we will have some nice ideas for the 9 days.
PICNIC SLICES
Ingredients;
- 8oz plain or milk cooking chocolate
- 2oz butter
- 4oz caster sugar
- 1 beaten egg
- 4oz desiccated coconut
- 2oz sultanas
- 2oz glace cherries
- Grease a Swiss Roll tin.
- Set oven to 300F or Mark 2.
- Break chocolate into pieces and place in bowl over hot water.
- When melted, pour into bottom of Swiss Roll tin and leave to set.
- Cream butter and sugar; add egg, coconut, sultanas and chopped cherries.
- Mix well and spread evenly over chocolate.
- Bake for 30 minutes until golden brown.
- Leave to cool then cut into slices with a sharp knife.
