We are excited to have you as our guest on our upcoming Portugal Douro Kosher River Cruise. We have put together the following information to give you an idea of the next steps needed to get ready for your cruise, including some required information.
A detailed tour packet web link will be sent to you approximately 3 weeks prior to embarkation with detailed information including packing list, updated itinerary, arrival and departure instructions, and ship information.
Now that you have registered for your cruise, you will have received your updated invoice and attached Terms & Conditions contract. You will have 2 options to complete and sign the required cruise contract to finalize your reservation:
- Option 1: We will be sending an electronic contract via DocuSign for you to complete to the main participant email that you have registered with. One contract will have space for both cabin occupants to electronically sign.
- Option 2: You may physically print your invoice & contract, sign and return it to us via scanned email, fax, or post:

*Please note: The Kosher River Cruise Terms & Conditions contract must be signed and received within 14 days of registration or reservation may be subject to cancellation. All participants 18 years of age and over must sign to be confirmed on and participate in the tour program. Parent’s signature will cover children’s participants under the age of 18.

To make the passenger information process a bit easier, we have automated our system using a dedicated online client portal. Each individual passenger will be able to access their online portal (one per passenger) by clicking on the Client Portal button on the top right-hand side of the Kosher River Cruise home page or clicking here:

On the portal, guests can download and upload their required information and documents. We require:
- Flight information
- Passport information
- Special requests. *Please note we will attempt to accommodate special requests to the best of our abilities. There are no guarantees that we can accommodate some requests, so it is best you speak to a KRC representative before going over your specific needs. Special request information must be received no later than 6 weeks prior to departure.
If guests are having trouble navigating the portal or are not proficient, you may also send the information to our email at, firstname.lastname@example.org and we can upload the information on your behalf.

Embarkation & Disembarkation Information
Embarkation May 30: Group transfers from the airport will begin at approximately 11:00am and will be scheduled according to flight arrivals. Detailed airport transfer times and meeting points will be listed in your tour packet. Please note the boat will only accept guests’ luggage beginning at 11:30 am and is not expected to be in port until approximately 9:30am. Due to the vessel’s preparation between cruises and required safety inspections, guests will not be allowed onboard until about 14:00 where they may congregate on the covered top deck. Guests may check in, beginning at approximately 15:30, with a welcome-aboard tea served in the lounge at approximately 16:30. Boat is scheduled to depart at approximately 17:00.
Private Transfers: Those interested in their own private transfers to the ship via car service or taxi please note the ship will be centrally located next to the central train station. Address details of the ship will be available in your tour packet. It is approximately a 30-minute ride from the airport to the boat.
Please tell us: Guests must inform us if they are interested in the group transfer no later than 4 weeks before arrival. Those guests arriving prior to the day of embarkation can easily take a local taxi from their hotel to the ship.
Disembarkation June 6: Group airport transfers will be arranged according to flight departures. Note the boat is scheduled to arrive back in Porto the day before on June 5 (where we will be spending the day touring). You will be informed the night before of your specific transfer time with your bags tagged accordingly. The last transfer will be at approximately 9:30am. If you have a late day departure and are taking a private transfer or taxi from the ship to the airport you may have the option (depending on the boat schedule) of leaving your luggage onboard and exploring more of Porto on your own, then returning to the ship to collect your luggage and meet or arrange your airport transfer on your own or with the ship directly.
TRAVEL INSURANCE IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
We strongly encourage you to purchase travel protection when traveling with Kosher River Cruises, especially in today’s world. Should you choose to travel on Kosher River Cruises without travel insurance coverage, you will need to acknowledge your agreement to take full responsibility for all expenses (trip interruption, trip delay, medical expenses, quarantine expenses and emergency evacuation/repatriation) that may arise while traveling with Kosher River Cruises.
For our USA guests we offer and highly recommend the Trip Mate Travel Insurance Company (Generali Insurance Company), with a direct link that can be found on our website for your convenience for information, quotes, and booking (all credit cards accepted).
Please note: Guests with pre-existing conditions must purchase their insurance plan within 14 days of deposit in order to receive coverage for those conditions.
